The Screaming Skull is a 1958 American horror film about a man who brings his new bride to his isolated country estate. The mansion is supposedly haunted by the screaming skull of his first wife, who died under mysterious circumstances. As terrifying sounds and apparitions plague the new wife, she begins to question her sanity — and whether her husband is trying to drive her mad.
The film is a low-budget, atmospheric psychological horror movie known for its effective use of sound, tension, and a memorable twist ending.
It stars John Hudson and Peggy Webber.
