Condition
Excellent condition, Silver work has no dents, or nasty scratches, does have a few very minor dink marks I would guess caused by tapping a glass bottle, silver being very soft these marks are very small and hard to see and doesn’t retract form this pieces beauty, hinge is strong and precise, very heavy duty 6 segment hinge, Sterling silver is bright and shiny without any dull areas, silver mount is solid and perfectly sealed,
Crystal glass has no nasty nibbles or cracks, interior is clear of any fogging or pitting, little firing mark on the base button where the glass cutter cut from the rod ( small croissant mark but no damage whatsoever, base is free of any nasty nibbles, cracks, some very light contact surface marks.
The jug stands straight & true, no wobbles.
There maybe some very fine marks commensurate with age, however they would be very minor on this claret jug.,
