Up for sale is a stunning, authentic late 19th-century (Qing Dynasty) Chinese silk embroidered sleeve band/textile panel. This piece features an exceptionally vibrant, bright blue silk ground adorned with traditional scholars' objects, elegant vases, potted plants, and lush floral blossoms.

At a generous 20 inches long by 5.5 inches wide, this panel is notably wider than standard antique sleeve bands, making the intricate artwork and layout much more dramatic and desirable for display or framing.

Artistry & Stitch Work:

• Central Masterpiece: The large central peony blossom is masterfully executed almost entirely in highly coveted "Forbidden Stitch" (Peking knot) work, showing incredible precision and tight, uniform knotting.

• Accents: The surrounding leaves, stylized vases, and traditional motifs feature smooth, lustrous satin stitching with beautiful gradient shading.

Condition Details:

• The embroidery itself is in excellent, crisp condition with magnificent color preservation and no thread loss. There is some light staining present on the blue silk ground fabric at the very top of the panel (visible in pics), but it is confined strictly to the blank fabric space and does not affect the embroidery. The silk strip has raw, frayed edges and mild wrinkling from storage, ready to be mounted or framed.
