Pride of the Bowery is a 1941 American comedy-drama about Muggs, the leader of the East Side Kids, who gets into trouble with the law and is sent to a reform school-style camp in the countryside. While there, he and his gang compete in boxing matches against rival groups and learn valuable lessons about discipline, teamwork, and fair play.
The film is a typical fast-paced East Side Kids vehicle mixing juvenile delinquency drama, slapstick humor, and sports action.
It stars Leo Gorcey as Muggs, Huntz Hall as Glimpy, Bobby Jordan, and the rest of the gang.
