2007 Nissan Qashqai Tekna 1.6 Manual Petrol – Failed MOT / Spares or Repair / Project

2007 Nissan Qashqai Tekna, good specification model with black leather interior, panoramic roof, heated seats and automatic xenon headlights.

NB: Vehicle was driven fine prior to MOT failure and remains driveable, however it is being sold strictly as a failed-MOT / spares-or-repair vehicle requiring transport. MOT failure relates to safety defects requiring repair.

The car is a previous Cat N insurance loss (rear-end accident during my ownership). Damage was repaired and I retained the vehicle because I liked the car and trusted it. I have continued using it since the repair.

I had intended to keep running it long-term, but it has now failed its MOT with repair costs that are no longer economical for me to justify.

RECENT / USEFUL PARTS:

• Brand new rear tyre (passenger side)
• Replacement bootlid fitted following previous accident repair
• Gearbox rebuild and clutch replacement relatively recently (receipts available)
• 2 recent proximity keys

KNOWN MOT ISSUES / MECHANIC'S FINDINGS:

• Airbag warning light – believed to be related to steering column / slip ring, although further diagnosis would be required (see pics and vid)
• Front brake imbalance – may require pads/discs, potentially calipers depending on fault
• Handbrake issue – likely cable replacement and potentially rear brake shoe work

Exterior is generally presentable for age with a few light scratches. Passenger side headlamp washer cover broken off but washer still works (cover included see pics).Interior remains in decent condition.

Partial service history including stamped service book and numerous receipts, including gearbox rebuild and clutch paperwork.
