An original Wehrmacht relic from World War II, found in a German dugout in the Kurland Pocket.
This original relic (a gas mask) was found during excavations of a German dugout on the battlefield in the Kurland Pocket.
The battle took place in the late autumn of 1944.
The relic had lain in the ground for over 80 years, but overall, its condition is quite acceptable.
The mask has undergone minor restoration. The aluminum filter holder and two rubber eyepieces of the gas mask are attached to the mask with thin metal wire.
Everything is firmly attached and visually unnoticeable. Yes, the rubber of the mask is hardened, but not cracked.
Perfect for a shelf of original relics!
