Dandy-Beano Comic Summer Special 1963 #1 VERY RARE

Condition is grade GD+. Clean pages with vibrant colours. Some spine stress with a number of vertical spine splits running down the edge of the spine. 2cm split to base of spine. A few assorted creases and splits to page edges but mainly just general wear. Two light spots of pen - one to bottom left corner of cover and the other to the right hand margin of rear cover. The main defect is a large 15.5cm horizontal tear running from the right hand edge of the cover through to the middle of the cover. This has been neatly repaired with tape on the reverse of the page. An approx 3cmx3.5cm piece missing from the right hand edge of the cover, however this affects very little cover illustration. A 4cm horizontal split to left hand edge of rear cover. Internally, condition is mostly very good barring a few various splits and creases to page edges. A good, solid example of an incredibly rare comic.

Condition guide:

We grade our comics with an 8 grade system, with PR being the lowest grade and NM being the highest. The grades are as follows

Incomplete - Pages missing
Poor (PR) - The lowest grade, major wear and tear including large creases, tears, stress, pieces missing etc
Fair (FR) - Extensive wear to include creasing and tearing. May have staining or foxing to pages
Good (GD) - Some wear to include creasing and tanning as well as spine stress.
Very Good (VG) - Minimal wear to include small creases or tears
Fine (FN) - Very minimal wear with very few signs of wear such as creases and tears
Very Fine (VFN) - Almost no wear to comic. May have slight spine stress
Near Mint (NM) - In almost as new condition

A + or a - on the end of a grade indicates that the condition of the comic is close to the grade boundary of a neighbouring grade.

Any major issues with the comic not mentioned in the condition bracket will be described in the description above where possible.
