This impressive hardwood sculpture depicts a traditional hunter or warrior figure with a raised hand designed to hold a spear, staff, or ceremonial object. The figure wears a traditional headdress, carved beard, and shoulder satchel, all characteristic features associated with Kongo and Yombe carvings from Central Africa.
