I am selling this piece of clothing on behalf of a friend, Paul McQueen. He was gifted it by his brother, Gary James McQueen (artist), who in turn was given it by their uncle: the late Alexander McQueen (fashion designer and couturier).
It's a one-off sample, an experimental design piece, that didn’t make it to mass production and comes with no testimonial or written certificate of authenticity.
In terms of manufacture there are few details about this item, including what material it is made from, and there is no company label attached. The 7 buttons are by ‘Astor’ (see photo) and are made in Germany. It appears to have plenty of intentional designer moth-holes and it also has a patch on the inside (not the outside) of each elbow.
There are no distinct shoulder hems, and a rough measurement for the shoulder width is 19 inches. It measures 36 inches from the top of the collar to the bottom edge. I've 'modelled' it for the photos and my top size is 'large'.
If you need any further details, please feel free to ask :)
