Limited 150pcs! This BBR 1:43 resin model (item BBR264A, limited to 150 pieces) commemorates chassis 3589GT — one of the very few right-hand drive 250 GTOs ever built — in its appearance at the 1963 12 Hours of Sebring, wearing car number 25 in Silver (Argento) for the Rosebud Racing Team. This extraordinary chassis debuted at Goodwood in 1962 under Mike Parkes, then raced in Nassau with Innes Ireland before arriving at Sebring on March 23, 1963. There, Richie Ginther — Ferrari's former works Grand Prix driver — and Ireland, winner of the 1961 United States Grand Prix, brought 3589GT home sixth overall and third in the GT class across 196 laps. The real car's subsequent fate is the stuff of legend: donated to a Texas high school shop class, it languished forgotten in a field for 15 years before being recovered and restored. Hand-painted resin with display base and original BBR packaging. Brand new, shipped directly from Japan.
For the collector who demands not just a 250 GTO model, but one that carries the weight of a truly extraordinary story — this is that car.
