Condition

This antique Dallah is in structurally sound, beautiful vintage condition. The heavy brass body exhibits a gorgeous, authentic deep patina and tarnish consistent with age and traditional use. The hinged lid functions smoothly and remains securely attached. When empty for display, the vessel is well-counterbalanced and stands perfectly upright without tipping when the heavy lid is flipped open. The interior retains its historic tinned lining, showing expected wear, darkening, and oxidation from use. There are minor superficial surface marks and small blemishes appropriate for a handmade metal piece of this era, but no significant dents, cracks, or structural repairs.
