You are bidding on 15 Callaway Golf Balls ... these used balls were found by this caddie at very fine country clubs in past summers in Ohio ... or winters in Arizona ... or at web.com and Korn Ferry Tour events ... or at PGA Tour Monday Qualifiers or Wednesday ProAm's ... none of the balls have any cuts ... none were recovered out of water ... of course no refinished or refurbished balls are in any astrotribe item ... sheez ... the balls were initially cleaned in a standard golf course up and down ball washer (remember Carl Spackler in Caddyshack cleaning his balls) ... or with astrotribe's love and a wet caddie towel ... then ... all the used balls in this auction were washed and cleaned together in a sink with Dawn detergent and a little Clorox bleach (to disinfect) ... then thoroughly rinsed and dried ... the clean balls were each individually inspected and condition rated from 1 to 100 using astrotribe's popular Used Golf Ball Grading Chart ...

Here's the condition rating summary:

7 Balls Rated Outstanding – 95

6 Balls Rated Excellent – 90

3 Balls have player ink marks and 12 Balls do not have player ink marks.

7 Balls have an added printed logo and 8 Balls do not have an added printed logo.

Each ball was inspected and individually rated (from 1 to 100) referencing astrotribe's popular Used Golf Ball Grading Chart ... (see chart at the end of this description section ... astrotribe does not grade balls with "AAAAA minus" ... not making that up, some sellers grade balls with five A's then put a minus sign after the five A's ... that's like saying "these are the most fantastic stupendous magnificent unbelievably best used balls available ... almost." ). Each ball is described by brand, model, number, rated condition, logo/no logo and ink/no ink. Individual ball's ratings and descriptions match the order and position as seen in the picture (start at top left and go across Row #1, then continue with next row down ... there are 5 rows with each row having 3 balls):

NOTE: Row#4 Ball#1 was taken out of it's original sleeve for the pictures ... then immediately returned to it's sleeve ... it was the only new ball remaining of the original 3-ball sleeve ... the two used balls on Row#4 will be included with the new ball in that sleeve ...

99	Mint	New, but, not in box .. perfect new color .. perfect surface .. no micro marks or dings at all
95	Outstanding	almost mint .. looks new at first glance .. perfect color .. when held very close can see very small surface micro marks or spots
90	Excellent	Pro would keep playing .. near perfect color with very minor spots and/or very minor surface marks
85	Very Good	Pro used in a tournament round then flipped it to the gallery .. low handicap might reject .. some minor discolor or some spots and/or surface marks smaller than a dimple
80	Good	low handicap probably reject .. OK for mid-handicap .. some discolor or spots and/or marks larger than a dimple or one micro scuff
70	Fair	OK for high handicap .. some discolor and/or spots and/or multi-dimple marks or one minor scuff

TERMS DEFINED: Surface – the very outer thin cover and may include a thin second layer Mark – other than a spot, discolor or ink, any outer layer surface imperfection that is not a scuff or cut Scuff – ball hit a cart path or tree and left a rough surface mark – but, the scuff is not a cut because it did not go through to outer core Cut – duh … extends through surface – goes through both outer thin cover and also thin second layer – exposes outer core Discolor – tan, faded or non white color larger than three dimples seen easily a foot away (3-inches with magnifying glass doesn’t count) Spot – tan, faded or dark area, pinhead to dimple size. that's on the original smooth surface and is not associated with a mark, scuff, cut None of the balls rated 70 or up have any cuts at all. For each ball, in addition to number rating from above, astrotribe indicates whether ball has player’s ink mark or an added printed logo. The best rating a ball with player ink on it can have is 95 .. Only balls without player ink, with or without logos, can be rated 99 or 100.
