Knights Templar 2026 Niue $5 2oz Silver Antiqued Gilded Colorized Coin

Knights Templar 2026 Niue 2 oz Silver Antiqued Gilded Colorized Coin

Faith, valor, and a sacred vow — relive the legend of the Templar Order.

Step into one of the most legendary chapters of medieval history with the Knights Templar 2026 2oz Silver Coin from T&S Coin. Struck in 2 ounces of pure .999 silver, this multi-relief masterpiece captures the moment of a young squire’s knighthood — a sacred rite that bound a warrior to the Order’s vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience to defend the faithful.

The Scene

The reverse is a cinematic high-relief tableau: an elder Templar cleric reads from the rule book, a rosary draped from his hand; two armored knights stand in great helms behind him; a young initiate kneels with bowed head, hands clasped on the cross-hilt of a gilded sword; and the Grand Master, draped in the white mantle and red cross of the Order, extends a gauntleted hand in blessing as he holds his gold-gilded great helm. Every fold of chain mail, every stitch of the white tabard, every glint on the sword’s hilt is rendered in cinematic depth.

Selective 24K gold gilding illuminates the sacred sword, the Grand Master’s helm and gauntlets, the rosary, and the wordmark above the scene. Red colorization marks the iconic Templar crosses worn over white tabards — the unmistakable emblem of “the warriors of Christ.”

The History

Founded in 1119 in the wake of the First Crusade, the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon — known to history as the Knights Templar — became the most powerful and mysterious military order of the Middle Ages. Sworn to protect Christian pilgrims on their journey to the Holy Land, the Templars rose to control vast wealth, an early international banking network, and fortresses from Jerusalem to Iberia. Two centuries later, in 1307, the Order was suppressed by King Philip IV of France on charges that historians still debate today. Their legend — of secret rites, lost treasure, and a code of unbreakable honor — has captivated the world for over 700 years.

The Obverse

The obverse bears the Public Seal of Niue beneath a royal crown, framed by ornate baroque scrollwork in deep relief. Year of issue 2026, denomination $5, weight 2 OZ., and purity AG 999 are inscribed around the rim, together with the legend “KNIGHTS TEMPLAR” and the Niue national motto “ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI”.
