Rare sculpture by North Dakota artist. Initial signed and dated.  See photos!!   Alfred Decoteau is a recognized Native American sculptor known for alabaster, marble, wonderstone, and wood carvings. His work appears in museum and cultural collections,  Alfred Decoteau was born in Grand Forks in 1949 and is an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. He later taught art for many years in Dunseith and has also been associated with Belcourt in the Turtle Mountains area.
