HISTORY
The deep, pure red is a result of gold chloride added during the manufacturing process. The raised floral detailing is created with hand-applied enamel, accompanied by 24k gold gilding. If the base or pontil is marked with a "K", it commonly indicates production from a specific Czech/Bohemian glassworks (such as the Karlovarské Sklo or Kristallglas traditions) or may signify a maker like Kralik. Kralik Glass (Wilhelm Kralik Sohn): A prominent Bohemian (Czech) glassworks active from the late 1800s to the mid-20th century, well known for experimenting with various applied decorations, enamels, and colors.
