ITEM DESCRIPTION
Very RARE vintage International Silver Co 16oz Tea / Coffee Pot 1937 from the Hotel Van Cleve.
This is one of the early pieces made for the Hotel. The earlier pieces are of heavier metal, more detailed, and do not dent and ding easily.
This piece would have been in use at the hotel at the time of the birth of the B-52 Stratofortress.

Aviation History:
The Hotel Van Cleve opened in January 5, 1928 and was a prominent hotel in Daytoon Ohio.
It was most famous as the "birthplace" of the B-52 Stratofortress.
In October 1948, Boeing engineers stayed at the hotel and spent a single weekend redesigning
their turboprop proposal into the legendary swept-wing jet bomber to meet urgent Air Force requirements.
(Who knows - maybe the engineers themselves used this pot - They whould have needed alot of cover that weekend)

Great Original Pre-Owned Condition. This piece is still in its original patinaed condition.
