This Antique American 50 Cent piece has been engraved as a first place medal. It is engraved from 1869 and was bestowed to the first place winner of a hurdle race. The 50 Cent piece was likely a seated half dollar that was engraved on both sides. Solidly mid Victorian. This piece is an amazing find for any collector.
