This auction is for: Job Lot of x6 The Avengers and the Savage Sword of Conan, 1976
These items were purchased by my son from a comic book store.
The book has been read once or twice and have been stored in a comic box since purchase. Mixed grading see the following descriptions (I am not a professional grader) -
- Fair (FR) - #133, April 1976, cover strongly attached, 3cm tears to the first two pages, with the cover having a missing piece. Interior pages tan. No pen marks or writing. Page 14 has piece cut-out. Wear to spine and some bend/roll. If it was not for the cover and missing piece the book would have been VG, but is considered Fair.
- Fair (FR) - #136, April 1976, cover strongly attached, wear to spine and edges. Crease and roll to the top 3cm of the entire book. Interior pages tan. No pen marks or writing. Cut coupon on page 22. Considered Fair.
- Very Good (VG) #138, May 1976, cover strongly attached, minor 0.5cm tear down the spine from the top, bright front cover colour, rear cover colour degraded, bend/roll to the spine and corners blunted. Interior pages tan. No pen marks or writing. No missing pages or cut coupons. Bagged and Boarded. Overall VG condition.
- Fine (FN-) #142, June 1976, covers well attached - slight 'pulls' at the staples, chipping to spine top/bottom, bright front/rear cover colour, foxing to rear cover, bend/roll to the spine and corners blunted. Interior pages tan. No pen marks or writing. No missing pages or cut coupons. Overall FN- condition.
- Fine (FN-) #142, June 1976, covers well attached - slight 'pulls' at the staples, chipping to spine top/bottom, bright front/rear cover colour, foxing to rear cover, bend/roll to the spine and corners blunted. Interior pages tan. No pen marks or writing. Slight crease to front cover RHS lower corner. No missing pages or cut coupons. Overall FN- condition.
- Fine (FN) #143, June 1976, covers well attached - slight 'pulls' at the staples, chipping to spine top, bright front/rear cover colour, ever so slight foxing to rear cover top edge, bend/roll to the spine and corners blunted. Interior pages tan. No pen marks or writing. Couple of very minor 0.5cm tears to interior RHS page edge - commensurate with handing/reading. Crease to front cover RHS top corner. No missing pages or cut coupons. Overall FN condition.
- Fine (FN) #144, June 1976, covers well attached - slight 'pulls' at the staples, chipping to spine top, bright front/rear cover colour, ever so slight foxing to rear cover top edge, bend/roll to the spine and corners blunted. Interior pages tan. No pen marks or writing. Crease to front cover RHS top corner. Couple of very minor 0.5cm tears to interior RHS page edge - commensurate with handing/reading. Some mark/discoloration running through the top edge of most pages. Overall FN condition.
