Interior: The text blocks are generally firm and hold a solid feel. There are a few leaves protruding slightly from the text block in the Matthew–Acts section, but they remain attached.
Pages: The leaves appear clean and tidy throughout, though age-goldening.

About the Authors:
This highly respected commentary blends the work of two of the most influential figures in Christian devotional history:
Matthew Henry (1662–1714): A famous British Nonconformist minister and author. He is best known for his monumental Commentary on the Whole Bible. His writings focus strictly on practical application and deep devotional insight, making scripture accessible for everyday spiritual life.

Thomas Scott (1747–1821): An influential Anglican cleric and a founder of the Church Missionary Society. His own multi-volume Bible commentary was celebrated for its immense scholarship and theological depth.

This nineteenth century edition by The Religious Tract Society beautifully distills the core spiritual insights of Henry and the thorough notes of Scott into a single, cohesive library.
