The blue card wrapper is age toned, slightly soiled, and shows some bumping, rubbing, and creasing. The spine is age toned and rubbed along the edges, with some chipping at the head, a small corner fragment has been glued in place at the corner of the head (see photo). The word “ACROMEGALY” has been handwritten in blue ink at the foot of the spine. There is also some original binder’s glue residue visible along the front and rear inner hinges, with some lifting to the surface paper in places around the hinges, though the wrappers remain secure.

A printed author's compliments slip has been tipped onto the title page. There are some faint corner creases/bends to pages, and some dustiness to the text block edges and some small marks to the top edge of the textblock.
