Description

The commemorative coin is dedicated to the outstanding statesman, military and political figure, head of the Directorate of the Ukrainian People's Republic and Chief Ataman of the UNR troops - Symon Petliura, whose name became a symbol of the Ukrainian people's struggle for independence and statehood at the beginning of the 20th century.

On the obverse of the coin in the center on a mirror background is a stylized portrait of Symon Petliura, on the left - an element of the patch from his jacket in the form of a branch. To the right of the portrait is the small State Emblem of Ukraine, the inscription UKRAINE, the denomination 2 with the graphic symbol of the hryvnia, the year of minting - 2026 and the logo of the Banknote and Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.

On the reverse of the coin is an artistic composition with elements of the UNR symbolism. In the center is a trident - an image of a sleeve insignia of the 1919 model, around the circle - the inscription 100-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE MEMORY OF SYMON PETLIURA and a wreath from Symon Petliura's diploma with the inscription UNR. It was Symon Petliura who introduced the use of sleeve insignia in the form of a trident in the Army of the UNR.
