Three circulated US Mercury (Winged Liberty Head) dimes from a private collection: two dated 1942 and one dated 1945, all struck at the Philadelphia Mint (no mint mark). The Mercury dime is one of the most admired designs in American coinage, struck in 90% silver from 1916 to 1945. The obverse depicts Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap — long misidentified as the god Mercury — while the reverse shows a Roman fasces bound with an olive branch, symbolising strength and unity.

The 1945 piece is the weakest, showing heavier toning and dark spotting on the obverse; the two 1942 coins are in better overall condition, with one showing a pleasing even patina and the other slightly darker toning but good detail. Please assess from the photos, which show obverse and reverse of all three coins together.
