The Rotating Beach House: a futuristic scale model designed by Chicago architect George Fred Keck. The model was a centerpiece of the now Griffin Museum of Science and Industry. During the 1950's and 60's, it showcased cutting edge construction using aluminum and glass.   The house was designed to rotate on a central axis, allowing it to follow the sun's path throughout the day to maximize natural lighting and solar heat.
