The COATIX X3 TRIBO gun is a professional yet easy-to-use solution for applying powder coatings. Unlike traditional systems, it does not require electrical power — powder particles are charged automatically through friction inside a special sleeve (TRIBO technology). This makes the entire process simpler and more intuitive.
The nozzle uses the Venturi effect. After entering the charging sleeve, the powder is accelerated and additionally swirled, ensuring precise charging. The charged particles are then expanded through a 4-channel nozzle. This design guarantees stable operation and very uniform powder output across the entire spray pattern, regardless of the pressure used.
A major advantage of TRIBO technology over CORONA systems is the absence of the Faraday cage effect. In practice, this means better coverage of hard-to-reach areas such as corners and recesses, without the need for touch-ups.
The COATIX X3 is designed for both home and professional use and is intended to work with a grounded powder coating booth.

Clean and degrease the workpiece
Fill the container with TRIBO powder
Connect compressed air and ground the workpiece
Adjust air pressure and apply powder
Cure the coated part according to powder specifications (e.g. 200°C / 12 min)
Allow the finished part to cool
