EXTREMELY RARE FOX X-FILES SEASON ONE NETWORK SCREENING COPY VHS TAPE
This "Network Screening Copy" is from 1993. It contains the episode "Fallen Angel", which originally aired on November 19th.
The tape is very simply labeled, as these copies are almost always just thrown away after viewing.
The word "FINAL" on the label indicates that it's the "Finalized" version and ready for airing.
The label also has the episode Number, #110 (Season 1, Episode 10)
It's in excellent used condition. Pictures are of the actual item for sale.
"Network Screening Copy" VHS tapes and DVDs are made by the networks & studios for distribution among staff & employees to watch them and make sure that the episode or movie is error free and ready to be aired. These copies are almost always in plain white slipcases, as the public is not supposed to see them, and so that notes can be written on them if need be. A real Network Screener will always be used and never shrink wrapped. One that is, is fake. These are extremely hard to find. Once a show has aired, there's really no reason for a Screener to exist anymore. It's on to the next episode to work on and these copies are usually just trashed. This fact makes Network Screeners highly collectable and sought after by fans.
On pretty much EVERY Screener Copy, the video is watermarked with the phrase "For Review Purposes Only", "For Screening Purposes Only" or "Property of (fill in the blank) Studio" that may be on screen the entire time, or pop up intermittently.
