The "Special Issue 8: Chiang Kai-shek's Portrait Stamps" were issued by Chunghwa Post on October 31, 1958
 (the 47th year of the Republic of China) to celebrate President Chiang Kai-shek's birthday. 
This set of stamps is of great historical significance and is a prized possession for many stamp collectors.
