Extreme is an American rock band, currently headed by frontman Gary Cherone & guitarist Nuno Bettencourt. They reached the height of their popularity in the late ‘80s & early ‘90s with original line-up Cherone, Bettencourt, Paul Geary & Pat Badger. The band was 1 of the most successful rock acts of the early ‘90s, selling over 10 million albums. They achieved their greatest success with album Pornograffitti (’90) which peaked at #10 on the USA Billboard 200 & was certified 2x platinum in '92. It featured the acoustic ballad More Than Words, which reached #1 on the USA Billboard Hot 100.
