Hi there,
I'm selling this really great recent find.
This vintage brass Hawker Hurricane model fighter is a replica of the iconic plane flown during the WW2 Battle of Britain.
The hurricane is the too often forgotten hero of our skies.
The model is fairly detailed, but equally rather basic. The propeller, for instance, isn't central, but it does still spin.
The stand is original, but at some point has become loose.
I have tightened it, but due to the angle of the plane, the screw is bent, so it will all, no doubt, move once packed and shipped.
I think this is fairly easily fixed with a new screw? And of course, once displayed, it won't move.
These were made in good numbers after the war, into the 1950s, but i suspect this might be more recent.
I can see no makers marks.
Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions.
This beautiful miniature aircraft stands at 15 cm tall with a wingspan of 23 cm and a weight of 1.3 kg.
This gold-coloured brass model is a perfect addition to any collection, showcasing the impressive craftsmanship of the Hurricane.
Ideal for enthusiasts of aviation, aeronautica and military history, this replica captures the essence of the historic British Hurricane fighter aircraft.
I will pack it very carefully for travel.
Thanks for looking, and i'm always open to reasonable offers.
