Hubert Durieux, petit banquier de Province a une vie pleine...d'emmerdeuses! Sa femmes divorce, sa matresse, sa fille et meme son assistante! Lui n'a qu'un vritable amour dans sa vie: sa Traction-Avant blanche. Mais un jour, la belle carrosserie est kidnappe par une jeune gitane et sa bande. Avec la police, il fait irruption dans le camp gitan et retrouve sa belle Traction... avec une passagre clandestine: Mona la voleuse. Mona est belle, jeune, libre et insolente.
