These contemporary melting clock earrings have a wonderfully surreal look, with gold-tone frames, see-through clock faces, black Roman numerals and warped clock hands that look as though time has gone delightfully bendy.
Each earring is different to the other, giving the pair a unique, mismatched feel while still clearly belonging together. The clock faces are transparent, though this is not as clear in the photos.
The design is inspired by the melting clocks in Salvador Dalí’s famous 1931 painting The Persistence Of Memory, with that wonderfully strange sense of time slipping, stretching and refusing to behave.
