Hi there,
I'm selling this rather lovely little antique statue.
He's being relisted due to a size issue. He is not large.
I'm fairly sure this is Saint Michael the Archangel defeating a dragon, but I have seen an almost identical one described as St George slaying the dragon.
Some are listed as French car hood ornaments from the 1930s.
But he also appears in English silver, as part of a table centrepiece, by James Deakin.
In all the others, he still has a sword.
I haven't attempted any cleaning, but can't see any makers marks.
I have listed this as silver plate, but I'm not 100 % sure.
It is not magnetic and has a slight bronzed-silver colour when i took him in the sun.
It is a beautifully crafted small piece, later mounted on a turned wooden base to show him off.
Please see the photos and feel free to ask any questions.
He only measures 6.5 cm tall, 10.5 cms with the base.
Perfect for those with a passion for antique sculpture and art, this lovely little statuette captures an essential essence of faith and triumph.
I will pack it very carefully for travel.

Thanks for looking, and i'm always open to reasonable offers.

I'm very happy to combine postage where possible.
