George Newnes Limited. 1924. Hardback, with DW. 2nd impression of first edition with a later issue wrapper. Boards are slightly soiled, and spine is leaning. Ex-libris with only 1 stamp to front endpaper which has been partially covered with small typed article tipped in and very faded ownership stamp to half-title and Chapter 1. Pages are browned and inner hinge visible, "WILLIAM" has been printed to dedication page with typed name crossed out.  Later issue wrapper is very worn, unskillfully repaired with tape to extremities. A sound copy.
