Eddie Van Halen, the great guitar legend, advocated for specifications that are now commonplace, such as direct-mount humbuckers, a simple 1-volume circuit, a flat fingerboard radius with thick frets, an oil-finished long-scale neck, and a double-locking tremolo, more than 40 years ago. This item is an archtop model from the [plated-look embossed logo / serial: 91001xxx / PAT.PEND] era.

This specification is rare, and its availability is declining globally. The unpainted neck shows average discoloration, and the body has some scratches and dents, indicating wear commensurate with its age.

The frets appear to have been lightly leveled, but more than 70% remain, and the neck is straight with no kinks. A tremolo arm and original hard case are included. *The back panel is missing.

The truss rod has light torque and plenty of adjustment range in both directions, but its effect is slightly weak, so it is recommended to loosen the tuning pegs when not in use, especially with strings. (If you're using 09-42 gauge, I think it should be fine on tune.)
