Appearing on the obverse of the new dime is a design by Esao Andrews depicting a resolute Liberty, her hair swept by the winds of revolution. Her liberty cap, adorned with stars and stripes, symbolizes the emerging nation while also recalling early American coinage. Inscriptions read LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 1776 ~ 2026. The obverse was sculpted by Craig A. Campbell. The reverse, designed by Eric David Custer, depicts an eagle in flight clutching arrows in its talons, symbolizing the American Revolution and the colonists’ struggle for independence. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DIME, and LIBERTY OVER TYRANNY.
