Light: Provide 6-8 hours of bright, indirect sunlight daily. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves, but ensure they get enough light to prevent leggy growth.
Watering: Allow the potting mix to dry out significantly, almost completely, between waterings. Overwatering is the biggest danger, leading to root rot within 7–10 days if left soggy.
Soil: Use a very well-draining, airy mix. A mix of 40% orchid bark, 30% coco coir, 20% perlite, and 10% horticultural charcoal works well.
Humidity & Temperature: Thrives in average home humidity (50-60%) but enjoys higher, such as in a bathroom. Prefers temperatures between 60-85°F (16-29°C).
Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer monthly during the growing season (April to September).
Repotting & Pruning: Keep them in small, snugly fitting pots, as they flower better when root-bound. Do not remove peduncles (flower stalks) after blooming, as they will produce new flowers from the same spot.
