Holy Water Font Wall Crucifix Authentic & Original Antique from late 1800's / Early 1900's
Metal figure on wood backing. Backing is covered in mustard velvet.
Made in France by F.M. (Forges de Mogeville). Makers mark on side of base plate.This refers to the French metal foundry located in the Mogeville region of France. This foundry was particularly famous for producing religious metalwork and hardware.
The other side of the foot plate is marked - Augsteel (Augmented Steel):This is a term for a reinforced or treated steel alloy

Condition is as per photos - a number of small holes, wear to back wood, the nail in his right hand has been replaced by small copper wire.
Measure approx. 39cm (15.5 inches) x 19cm . Weighs almost 900 grams.
