As this is a high-value piece of art, I have taken the time to do extensive research to understand both the lower and upper ends of its market value, as well as the factors that determine its condition and worth.
This piece was given to me years ago by a relative who passed away. At the time, I was young and didn’t fully understand its significance, but I held onto it out of respect for them. Over the years, it has always been properly cared for HOWEVER did not receive the statue with its original base or box. I know that knocks down the value a little bit to certain collectors but as far as condition goes the statues in excellent excellent condition no chipping whatsoever never been repaired, the family member who gave it to me was likely unaware that it originally included those items.
I’m more than happy to provide additional photos, videos, or answer any questions to ensure you feel confident in what you’re seeing. The piece has never undergone any repairs—only light dusting for maintenance—and it remained in the same place, undisturbed, for approximately seven years until recently.
Interestingly, I came across its potential value by accident. I was researching an 1854 coin I had received as change and used Google Lens, which happened to pick up the statue in the background. That’s when I realized it may be worth significantly more than I had ever imagined.
While this piece holds personal value due to the person who gave it to me, I am currently going through a difficult time. As much as I would prefer to keep it, I believe they would want me to use it as an opportunity to move forward and improve my situation.
