You are buying the Lot of 15 Original mid‑century 35mm Kodachrome slides documenting the Gallup Inter‑Tribal Indian Ceremonial, from the 50s.
Includes vivid images of Native American dancers in full regalia, parade participants, performers, and downtown Gallup scenes.
The Inter‑Tribal Indian Ceremonial began in 1922 and is one of New Mexico’s oldest continuous cultural events bringing tribal communities together to share dance, art, and tradition. During the 1950s, the Ceremonial parade moved directly through Gallup’s historic Route 66 corridor. The storefronts visible in these slides—including the US Cafe and its neon sign—stood along the same commercial spine used by travelers driving the the Route. These images capture a combination of Route 66 streetscape, mid‑century Gallup landmarks, and Indigenous cultural celebration, in their original context
I took the listing photos through a slide viewer with my phone.
