Whichever your motivation check the video out and then read this: UNIQUE COMBO20th Anniversary Macintosh TAMfrom Apple Computerwith extras making it an extremely rare find Here's why: 1. One of only 11,601 20th Anniversary Macintosh ever made available for sale in the 1997-1998 period, only in five countries: the USA, Japan, France, Germany, and the UK. The New York Times aptly described it as a “Ferrari-on-a-desktop,” highlighting its luxurious and avant-garde design. 2. Fully functional - watch the video. With fantastic premium sound from the BOSE speakers. I have other clips if you want to hear more. Remember, this was 1997, no other computer came even close to this quality of sound and video. 3. First product Jony Ive designed for Apple. Ive, Apple's Head of Design, would go on to design the iPod, the iPhone, and so many other Apple iconic products. 4. Next to the main console, the heavy BOSE Subwoofer (weighs 11 lbs!!), and the keyboard, which is complete, also included is a functioning remote so you don't even have to get up to change the song or clip or the volume ;) 5. Original 340 pages clean manual is included as well (weighs 2 lbs!) 6. Also included an eBay UNIQUE ITEM, the 20th Anniversary Macintosh promo sheet. This never ever comes up on eBay! And it's not just a sheet of paper, no, in the high quality spirit of the whole TAM ensemble the paper is thick and transparent. I'd call it more sturdy than glossy paper but transparent. Such a promo sheet must have cost Apple a lot of money. But it served the purpose of making the TAM a truly unique product, design, and experience. 7. Includes all four TAM CDs in excellent condition: a) QuickTime Showcase CD (Golden 20) b) CD with system software and other programs c) The TAM "Experience CD" d) The "Welcome Tour" CD 8. Also included is the huge 20th Anniversary Macintosh poster: it's 38" x 26"!!! It's shown unfolded and folded. Folded flat is how it is supposed to be - it's the original shape for the poster. 9. Two flaws for this TAM: at the corner at the top of the left speaker a tiny little bit of the fabric is no longer present, the CD door doesn't open automatically but requires a gently push at the bottom of the door. See pictures for detailed analysis. Should this be an issue for you, then don't buy this ensemble! 10. Flaws this TAM does NOT have, and most TAMs out there for sale often have, are: a) NO broken or cracked "umbilical" cable at the back of the TAM. A cracked cable is THE NUMBER ONE flaw of almost all TAMs on eBay sold or for sale. Check it out! Most sellers will not mention it, even not show it, or have the picture from an angle you can't really assess or easily see. Not here! This well known and very common flaw is NOT PRESENT in this TAM. It also shows how well cared for this TAM is! b) Another common and well-known flaw, impossible to detect as a buyer without video and when not mentioned or tested, is the presence of 'speaker buzz' - disturbing sound. Again, NOT with this machine. Needless to say, this is a great functioning collection item! *** AUTHENTIC ***A COLLECTOR'S DREAM - A MUSEUM PIECE
