A Canton Export Silver Box with Prunus decoration by SunShing – Canton, 1790-1885.
A circular covered box with prunus and branches. Center medallion with beautiful hand engraved monogram. Repousse work on all sides. Marked to base with Sun Shing's hallmarks and pseudohallmarks, identifying this box as an earlier piece. SunShing was most active from 1740-1830. 
Approximately 58 grams of silver, so this piece weighs almost 2 ounces.

Size: 2 1/2" diameter and 1 1/3" tall. 
Condition: Good condition, some tarnishing/dark spots to the interior, minor denting to interior lip. Overall very good.
