In the early-mid 70s, 7-Eleven produced various series of Slurpee cups. When I was a kid, I had a stack of baseball and football cups 3-4 feet high; I have no idea what ever happened to them, but recently I bought a lot of cups, not only baseball and football, but superhero, wildlife, even rock star cups. Now, I am selling them.
I began by washing the cups, though I do not think I would drink a Mai-tai out of one without a more thorough washing. Consequently, any markings remaining are almost certainly not dirt, but rather some print flaw, a common condition when you are printing on circular plastic, it would seem. In other words, if you see it, it isn't likely coming off, so bid accordingly. Also, the print tended to fade fairly easily; there are some cups where the picture looks great and the back is faded.
I say all this because, of course, I want you to be aware of what you are bidding on BEFORE you win it, so you won't try to return it AFTER you win it because of some problem like this. Forewarned is forearmed, buyer beware, all that jazz.
If you win more than one cup, I will charge an additional $1 per extra cup won, to cover my fees.
These are cool 50-something-year-old pieces. Good luck.
