This is a gorgeous antique French Art Nouveau plaster bust dating from about 1900. It would look superb, perhaps on a mantelpiece or on a sidetable.

The subject is a beautiful girl. She has dreamy eyes and a gentle blush to her cheeks. Her hair falls around her face and is pulled into a soft chignon at the nape of her neck.

She sits on a lovely base in an atmospheric dark hue. Growing up the front of the base are two fabulous dark red lilies which wend their way upwards to protect our lady's modesty.

The bust is entitled 'LIS' and there is a signature to the side.

We have left the bust as we found her. She is in good antique condition.

She measures approx :- 40 cm (15.7 inches) high x 27.5 cm (10.9 inches) wide x 15 cm (6 inches) deep.

This is a gorgeous bust to add an authentic antique French finishing touch and another divine brocante find from La Belle Étoffe!
