The Book of Hours itself is not dated, but the calendar begins with the year 1502. So the print can certainly be dated to 1501 (but at the latest 1502). - With magnificent ornamental and figural decorative borders in metal cut; with 4 large border woodcuts with saints (with wooden cross, with cross staff), some mythical creatures, 1 small picture with the crucifixion. -- Sheet dimensions: approx. 23.7 x 16.7 cm. - The image shows the front and back of the sheet. - Color partly slightly blurred, slightly rubbed, otherwise in good condition. || Original single leaf from a very rare large-scale Book of Hours published by Simon Vostre in Paris. Printed on vellum! - With magnificent ornamental and figurative metalcut borders. -- The book of hours itself is not dated, but the calendar begins with the year 1502. Therefore, the printing can be dated as early as 1501 (no later than 1502). -- Leaf dimensions: approx. 23.7 x 16.7 cm. - The image shows the front and back of the leaf. -- color partly slightly smudged, somewhat rubbed, otherwise well preserved.
