Original sheet from a very rare large-format book of hours from Simon Vostre's publishing house in Paris. Printed on parchment! The Book of Hours itself is not dated, but the calendar begins with the year 1502. So the print can certainly be dated to 1501 (but at the latest 1502). - With magnificent ornamental and figural decorative borders in metal cut; with 4 large border woodcuts with saints (with wooden cross, with cross staff), some mythical creatures, 1 small picture with the crucifixion. -- Sheet dimensions: approx. 23.7 x 16.7 cm. - The image shows the front and back of the sheet. - Color partly slightly blurred, slightly rubbed, otherwise in good condition. || Original single leaf from a very rare large-scale Book of Hours published by Simon Vostre in Paris. Printed on vellum! - With magnificent ornamental and figurative metalcut borders. -- The book of hours itself is not dated, but the calendar begins with the year 1502. Therefore, the printing can be dated as early as 1501 (no later than 1502). -- Leaf dimensions: approx. 23.7 x 16.7 cm. - The image shows the front and back of the leaf. -- color partly slightly smudged, somewhat rubbed, otherwise well preserved.
