1982 Land Rover Series 3 109 ex MOD GS truck.
A nice original S3 109 with the 2.25 (5 bearing) petrol engine and 4 speed manual transmission. The truck has been sat for a couple of years so it will need a bit of light recommissioning. The overall condition is good and the vehicle benefits from a decent chassis and a generally solid bulkhead. The panels are nice and straight and the presentation is good.
The vehicle came in today (29/04) and as yet we have not yet managed to start it but the engine turns over no problem and the car rolls freely. We can see that the fuel is not making it into the carb although the pump is working so we're pretty sure it will fire up once we sort out the problem.
The car was driven into its parking spot (hard standing) prior to being parked up so there are no known issues.
We can see the bulkhead will need repairs to the top corners and to around the vents. The rest of the bulkhead including the footwells appears to be in very good order. The chassis also appears (from a quick inspection) to also be in a very good order.
The doors are all good and don't flap about and overall, the truck is sound.
Being TAX, MOT and ULEZ exempt means this is a cheap and practical way to cheap motoring. Plus with the roof off and the screen down its a very cool way to get about!
