Up for sale is an original, authentic cover and partial sheet from Frank Leslie’s Illustrated Weekly, dated September 8, 1892.

This incredibly significant piece of sports history was released the day after the legendary heavyweight title fight between John L. Sullivan and James J. Corbett.

Key Features:

• Portraits include: 1. John L. Sullivan, 2. James J. Corbett, 3. "Jack" McAuliffe, 4. "Billy" Meyer, 5. George Dixon (The first Black world champion), and 6. "Jack" Skelly.

• Central Illustration: A scene in front of the Olympic Club-House in New Orleans.
