The new BB series features a 3-ply alder/maple/alder body construction. The hard maple wood sandwiched between the alder on both sides enriches the midrange, resulting in a resonant body that blends better with the band's sound. Furthermore, using maple in the body allows for direct sound transmission with the maple neck, reducing sound loss between the body and neck and ensuring reliable capture of string vibrations.

In addition, I.R.A. (Initial Response Acceleration) treatment brings the bass closer to its broken-in state, bringing out the ideal body resonance.

The bass employs a miter bolting system, which adds two screws at a 45-degree angle to the neck end, in addition to the four screws that vertically secure the neck from the back of the body. This firmly bonds the body and neck, creating a powerful, unified resonance. This results in less energy loss from string vibrations compared to a standard bolt-on joint, achieving rich sustain and overwhelming body resonance. Body/Neck Construction: Miter Bolting
