There's practically no place you can't grow these gorgeous plants -- except in the cold!  Caladium can be grown in any region as an indoor plant, but since caladium are tropical and need heat to grow, take care to only start outdoors once nighttime temperatures are high 60's and above. Far northern areas of the US may want to grow indoors in pots, since your ground may not warm up sufficiently. Be sure to lift outdoor caladium in early fall if you would like to save the bulbs for the following year. Or, if planted in a container, just bring the whole container in for the winter.
