Two glass magic lantern slides by the famous Bonfils photographic
studio in Beirut. Probably very early 20th
century. I believe that A.Bonfils stands
for Adrien, the son of Felix Bonfils. The slides were made in Black and white
and colored by hand.
Both slides show Holy places in Palestine - One is from the church of nativity in Bethlehem, and the other from The altar of the nails of the cross, church of Holy Sepulchre in the Jerusalem.
