Incredible Japanese craftsmanship in these vintage Toshikane cufflinks

Purchased or gifted in the late 1950's to my Godfather during his stay as a US Navy Commander in Japan after the second world war 

Each piece showcases the intricate artistry of hand-painted Arita porcelain, 

Depicts a Japanese woman wearing kimono with a 3 tiered temple in the background

not stamped silver but these Toshikane pieces were mostly set in sterling silver

marked Toshikane Japan

measures 2 cm's x 1.5 cm's

excellent condition, never worn
