The Garmin GNS 530W is a classic panel-mounted IFR-certified GPS/Nav/Comm unit (WAAS-enabled version of the GNS 530). It combines:

• WAAS GPS for enroute, terminal, and precision/non-precision approaches (LPV, LNAV/VNAV, etc.)
• VHF Comm transceiver (typically 10W or 16W in the "AW" variant)
• VOR/LOC/Glideslope receiver
• Large 5-inch color moving map display (MFD-like capabilities for terrain, traffic, weather overlays when interfaced)
